She squeezed me so hard – I stopped breathing. I had caused it all myself. I knew it was my own entire fault. Once she let go I noticed she also stopped singing. Her song was never my favorite, but once it was over I missed it. I asked her to sing it again but she wouldn’t. That night she sewed her lips shut with the dental floss she found in my drawer. When I found her she was crying and her face was red, but I knew she wouldn’t win. She was limp and helpless as I picked her up off the ground where she had collapsed. I squeezed her so hard that she sang again. She sang her beautiful song.
