the lady of gileid

In solitude the tower is seen
Surrounded by endless fields of green
That blankets the vast and waving scene
The glimmer of the cube pool’s sheen
Reflects upon the clouds of Seed;
And no where near the Seedlings roam
In distant Enoki they find their homes
Only Lark waits here alone-
The Lady of Gileid.

There she works by night and day
Consoles and screens in wondrous array
Nothing do her assistants say
She knows inside this work is play
To cure the painful lethargy.
No eternal end hath she,
And so she stares here endlessly
Not knowing what the benefit will be,
The Lady of Gileid.

Then lifting from the oracles floor
She rose to her boudoir’s fine décor
Lark sat at her vanity, her mirror before
Not realizing what she was looking for
The mirror captured her need
Her face looked back at her – sallow
With no wisdom within; it looked callow
Her lives would forever live shallow
The Lady of Gileid

The thieves of cube crossed her mind
She pondered their theft and actions unkind
The worlds in her head would click and wind
Perhaps her solitude could be left behind
A shimmering jar of Seeds
Although the victims were the dead
Ideas would tiptoe through her head
“I’m half sick of shadows,” said
The Lady of Gileid

Just then! The Soon shot ‘cross her mirror
She squinted to make the image clearer
A blazing beacon coming nearer
Its sudden appearance would not fear her
The thing fell to its knees.
She felt her future stretched and freed.
She took off, eyes growing wide;
The mirror cracked from side to side;
"My chance has come upon me," cried
The Lady of Gileid.
